Ordered from my room at the hotel. They said they were having a slow night, but the order was wrong and it showed up 30 min late and was ice cold.

Was delicious and had great service.

Awful all the way around the only thing that would have made this visit worse is if the waitress would have spit in our food at the table......PASS!

Went to lunch today (12-30-09) at M&E's around noon, it wasn't busy, they weren't understaffed, and yet the service was less than adequate. I arrived before my husband around 11:58am and placed our order knowing he didn't have long for lunch; he arrived 12:15pm. Our drinks and food didn't come out together. My daughter was the last to get her drink, 5 minutes after we had gotten ours. The fish was over cooked, and the Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich was under seasoned and very bland. The only enjoyable thing was the french fries, and that's sad when that's the best thing you can say about a dining experience was. Our server (Keri B) )didn't refill drinks unless asked, was gone for obscene amounts of time in between bringing drinks, food, condiments, our bill, etc... she offered my husband a drink to carry out since she never refilled his and he had to return for work... he waited an extra 10 minutes, watched her give carry out drinks to other tables without even addressing him or handing him one... so he left without it. I was planning on bringing my daughters meal home since she was enjoying it and we were pressed for time, but by the time Keri brought back my card (time elapsed from handing it to her: 12mins), I was annoyed, my children impatient, and we all just wanted to get out of the restaurant. What should of been 30-45 minute lunch, was over an hour... like I said, it wasn't busy, and the place was not under staffed. I've worked in the food industry, I know how difficult it can be to wait multiple tables, but I also had enough sense to ask for help from my fellow staff members if I was getting overwhelmed... which Keri B certainly was. She was not comfortable or confident in her position at all.

Waited 45 minutes on a saturday night (10-2-10) to be seated. Usually not a problem as we love M&Es. During our wait 24 other people were seated ahead of us. All the while my kids stared through window at 30 open seats that the staff said were for "large parties." Folks at the front desk appeared completely overwhelmed everytime someone else came in or called. Someone might want to let this manager know that people eat out on Saturday night and to staff accordingly. If you can, drive north to German Village - AWESOME! I won't even slow down for this exit again.
