Raven's Glenn Winery
Reviews
Atmosphere: Great with a nice view of the river. I would change the table clothes to plain white or burgandy. Food: I had the lobster stuffed mushrooms and the seafood manicotti with a glass of autumn interlude. The wine was a great sweet wine with a very smooth finish. The lobster stuffed mushrooms were really good and not too huge a portion for an appetizer. The seafood manicotti was extremely cheesy which wasn't a bad thing but, it was very underseasoned. I found myself loading it with pepper to give it flavor, therefore -1 star. Service: service was great, no complaints here.
Do not do the Sunday brunch. They ran out of orange juice before 1:00. They only had one person making omelets and carving the meat which meant that the line for this service was very long. Also ran out of shrimp, but did replace it. Bill was over $100 (including tip) for 4 people and we were very disappointed. Wrote them to complain, but received no answer.
Food quality is poor!!!! Dishes ARE NOT as described and their efforts for cost cutting are ridiculously obvious!!!!! Crushed oreos with whipped cream for dessert! REALLY????? Then to choose blaming the customer instead of satifying the customer concerns means you have lost a customer! You also chose to blame the quality of your staff and yet the turnover is very high in your facility! Please do the right thing and turn yourselves around.
Great winery! Very cool patio with good food. Try the Autumn Interlude...very good!
Spent an evening at the Ravens Glenn (28th July 2010), complete with tour of the winery, wine tasting and then followed by dinner with live music who encouraged requests. This was a family night with ages ranging from 15 to 50 in our group and everybody had a great time. The waiter we had was extremely helpful and the food very good (all you can eat on some items certain nights). Will be back again.
