The Steer Barn
Reviews
First time we had been there in sometime and was so looking forward to it because we were out for a special night our anniversary. The atmosphere was as wonderful as I remembered, but that was about all that was good, food was ok but for the price not so much and the service was well lets just say my husband ran out of something to drink and we had to share. I was very disappointed, because I looked forward to the night out at the Steer Barn and also the place was not busy so not sure why the waitress was not more attentive to us
A great place to eat, we go a couple times a year, it is always excellent. A good break from the commercial high production restaurants in the city.
Great food
We were happy with the looks of the place and the food was ok. the service was sonething to be desired..the witress brought out a lazy susan with carrot salad and potato salad and cottage cheese and then she brought us some garlic toast.we did each have one piece of toast and some of us tried the lazy susan and the waitress walks by doesnt even ask if we were done with it she just grabbed the garlic bread and lazy susan and walked right on by. You would figure you pay for it they would leave it for you to eat especially at those prices...i had the orange roughy and it was dry, small and not much of a flavor. The prices on the menu was a shock. I ordered a piece of chocolate cake $6.50 to go, and was really shocked when i opened the container and seen how small it was...i was going to have it there but by the time the waitress came by everyone was done and ready to leave..thats why i had it to go..the toss salad was nothing to write home about...we waited at least 10 minutes for a refill on pepsi...I myself will not spend that kind of money to go there again...It was over $100.00 for 4 0f us 2 had specials and as far as drinks we had 2 waters and 2 pepsi's....and my $6.50 piece of cake...
For a great steak and a change of venue, this is a great place
