Boston Stoker - Troy
Reviews
I had a considerable debate with myself on whether or not to write to review. I am almost 40 years old and have patronized coffee shops as far away as Wellington New Zealand. In all my experiences with the sweet nectar of the Gods never have I been treated so poorly. After a long day of moving my friend and I decided to stop in for a shot of espresso. Having just moved to Troy I was initially excited to see there would be a coffee shop on my route to work. As we entered the tantalizing aromas and angelic sounds sent a chill up my spine. My primal synapses began to fire in anticipation of that first sip. As we stood reading the colorful menu clearly penned with care another patron entered, was welcomed, and her order started. Then a second. We looked at each other, momentarily perplexed, and then the reality of our situation struck. Because of the way we looked and were dressed we were not welcome. The second patron too realized what was happening and offered us his place in line. We thanked him for his generosity on the way out the door. So to all those coffee lovers out there skip this Boston Stoker. I will refrain from naming the young man and middle aged woman who seem to have forgotten they work in the service industry. Shame!
Great coffee, great service, great atmosphere. Expensive cigars.
