Baumbach's Pit Barbeque & Grill
Reviews
Best barbecue, pork beef or chicken. Smell the hickory smoke as you walk by the smoker. Home style service with home town friendliness. Great prices & enough food to take some home with you.

I feel like the only nice thing I can say about this place is the people were nice and friendly and they were working their butts off because unfortunately, they were understaffed. Our table was ready for us for at least 15 minutes but we had to wait that long just for them to clean it off. We waited forever for cold food that wasn't very good and overpriced. Bummer
Normally this would be a 4-star rating. Service is through the roof, definite 5 stars. Food is a solid 4 stars. What pushed it over is the fact that there's nothing else to eat here that's any good. (If you're willing to eat at chains, you're probably not even reading this review.) Bottom line: If you're in the Richmond area and hungry, stop reading this review, go to Baumbach's, and eat. Close those other reviews, you don't need them. Now, that being said, two suggestions. One: get a couple more beers on tap. Shiner Bock is a nice Texas touch but I only saw 3 or 4 taps in the whole bar. Two: Get pecan pie. I know your desserts have pecans in them, and the rum cake is at least 4 stars, but when I eat good BBQ I want to finish with either a good pecan pie or a cheap, sloppy, shack-in-the-woods, ear-to-ear-grinning pecan pie. Doesn't matter which, but gotta have one.
Finally found a place with great ribs! wife and I went there tonight 3/6/13. the sides ...greens and mac&cheese need some work. overall 4/5. wanted some of their bbq sauce to take home and they did not have any. :( OVERALL super place.
