Billy's - A Cappelli Martini Bar
Reviews
Upscale and trendy, with good martinis and a great selection of craft beer. Great looking space and a really good looking menu. Unfortunately, everything we tried on our first and only visit, was a tad over cooked. Teriyaki skewers were very tasty but the shrimp and steak were considerably overdone. Not worth sending back but not great either. Their chicken marsala suffered the same fate. Very good sauce and vegetables but the chicken was considerably overcooked as well. Attentive service and reasonably priced martinis saved the evening
I came here on a Friday night in February, and it was crowded. The crowd itself was mixed in age ranges from couples in their 50's to 30's and even some in their 20's. The interior is modern, and trendy including the indoor bar area. There is also a heated patio bar where patron's can smoke and socialize in a more private setup. The main room is spacious but crowds easily. What I really liked about Billy's were in-fact, their Martini's. The Midori sour and Jollyrancher Martini's were fabulous and by far the best Martini's I have had to date. Try a rumchata shot too, which tastes just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in milk. Prices are moderately high at $8.00-$9.00 a drink. Located off of 306 in Mentor near the Quaker Steak and Lube across the street from Smokey Bones. Parking availability is give or take on any given night.
Great place
