I used to like Taffy's a lot, but it has sadly turned into more of a bar than a coffee shop. The coffee is okay, but I can find better. This is not the place to go to relax as the music is loud.
By far one of the coolest places I've been to! Taffys is a very intimate coffee shop / bar with one of the best beer and wine selections I've ever seen! I had the pleasure of enjoying a few rare German import beers and a Chinese beer I have never heard of. For beer lovers, this is a place to check out. Manfred (the owner) is a true gentleman and I look forward to coming back again.
Unfortunately I need to downgrade my previous review. As another reviewer has mentioned, Taffy's now feels much more like a bar than a coffee shop. If that's your thing, enjoy, but if you're looking for a cozy quiet place to enjoy a cup of coffee, this isn't it. Not anymore.
We found this spot when we got off the interstate on the way to Virginia. I had to stop because my name actually happens to be Taffy! We loved it, it's cozy and fun and cool and the coffee is great. I can't wait to go back, especially for open mic nights and a glass of wine.
Great craft beer selection. Coffee was excellent as well!
