Yes this place is "out dated" as everyone's main complaint seems to be in the reviews, but what do you expect? I enjoy their breakfast...eggs and pancakes or French toast. I have not had other meals here. 4 stars because the staff is a little off, last time waitress was continually going on about slapping someone--even if you're joking around there's people eating in the restaurant that do not know the difference and are just trying to enjoy a meal...likely with family. I'm there for food not entertainment.
The owner screamed at me in front of her non-crowded restaurant for sitting too long in the booth. I was there for 2 hours. 1 hour eating (with someone I invited who was there for the first time), 45 minutes on a conference call and 15 minutes on my laptop where I had to check a few emails. She literally made a scene, threatened to call the cops and said that this was not an office. I sat in silence as she walked away. And in stunned disbelief I thought wow...then just as I was getting ready to pack up she came back out (about 30 sec later) and screamed louder...I thought I told you to leave! So I packed up my things paid the cashier and then walked out to my car. I sat in my car for about 3 minutes updating my FaceBook status about the experience when she came out of the restaurant, banged on my car window and told me to vacate the property immediately! When I posted this on FaceBook I discovered that 5 of my friends had similar experiences with her and equally said that they are NEVER going back.
Oh my if you want a place at the outskirts of Belpre then this is the place for you. The decor is outdated by about 30 years. The food was very Mel's diner.
