Bistro Brie & Bordeaux

Excellent ambiance even in winter on the front enclosed patio. Veal scaloppini was the best I have ever eaten! They are sparse on salt but that is probably wise... you can always salt to taste.
The food was ok, not good enough to match the prices charged for it. French onion soup tasted like it came from a box and they threw onions in it. Wine was incredible, they have a good wine list. Ambiance/atmosphere was good, ate outdoors. Overall, too pricey for what you get.
Bistro Brie & Bordeaux is an excellent upscale restaurant without the upscale price. The food is incredible; and what a beautiful view... you can see the mountains and the ski slopes from your table. Chef and his lovely wife are awesome! This restaurant belongs in either Manhattan or Paris!!! I can't wait to go back again. New York City Girl
I just moved to the area and have been checking out the restaurents this one is excellant and i keep going back
We went on Valentine's Day 2010. The restaurant offered a prix fixe menu; 3 courses for $55 or 4 for $65. The extra course was the second course, which didn't seem like it was worth the extra $10 to us, so we didn't get it. We both had the lobster soup which was average. When compared to a bisque, the soup didn't compare. It just didn't have as good as a flavor as a bisque. The lobster flavor was definitely present, though. I had the seared halibut with lobster ravioli for the main course while my girlfriend had the filet mignon with green beans and a thin, fried potato chip with a little mushroom mixture inside. The halibut dish was pretty good, but a little small for the amount of money we paid. There was one lobster ravioli on top of the halibut, which was on a bed leeks. It was accompanied by a saffron cream sauce. My girlfriend's filet was good, as expected. Cooked to the desired temperature and tasty. The desset was a frozen raspberry mouse on a meringue cookie with a white and milk chocolate lattice in the shape of a butterfly and raspberry sauce drizzled on the plate. It was pretty decent but again, a little small. The ambiance was OK; my girlfriend thought the place was cute. The waitstaff seemed frazzled; not sure if that was due to it being Valentine's Day. They were rushing around so much that we felt rushed when eating our meal, not to mention them bumping into our elbows intermittently throughout the experience. Our waiter didn't give us much personal attention. He just basically took our order and brought our food over. He didn't even greet us or tell us his name. We just didn't get a welcome feeling from him. He also brought us the wrong bill at the end of the meal. The total was about double what it should have been, so I had to alert him of this. His attention seemed to be diverted from a large party of about 10 that he was also serving. There was another party of about the same size right next to us and they were being pretty loud. It was almost as if both parties of 10 were competing for conversation dominance in terms of the volume; it was quite loud. A couple sitting next to us had their table moved because of this. All in all, it was an average experience. I'm sure it would have been more enjoyable if we didn't dine there on one of the busiest nights of the year.
