Aiello's Restaurant
Reviews

Found this family restaurant on the way back to New York City. Absolutely delicious food and great friendly service. Would recommend the eggplant parm and definitely get a cannoli and cappuccino too! Homemade bread too! A must stop.

This place isn't even worth the one star required to rate it at all. Due to work, or other social events, I've had going there foisted upon me on too many occasions for the lack of quality to be a simple fluke. The food is almost always overcooked to the point of inedibility (most likely cooked earlier in the day and left under the heat lamp until some unfortunate soul happened to order it). No wonder the parking lot is always full. The service is so slow, I wouldn't be surprised if there are people waiting for hours on end just to get some salad. Woe be to those unsatisfied customers who have the nerve to complain, though. If the waitstaff isn't surly enough for you, the owner isn't above intimidating you into keeping your mouth shut. The waitstaff seems to know not to ask about it, if something seems wrong, possibly from frustration of their taking criticism back to the deaf ears of higher ups. Or fear of being fired/getting their wages docked because of it. Living in and around Whitney Point all my life, I've heard horror stories from other people of even worse occurences, but since I, myself, haven't been a first-hand witness to those particular things, I hesitate mentioning them further here.

It looked nice and the people were nice. The menu isn't clear though. I ordered something that looked vegetarian but instead was filled with beef and pork (which were not items listed). They did refund my meal and quickly made me a new wrap but the other wrap did not taste very good. The other person who I was with ordered a ravioli dish that was served with the sauce being just slightly warmed and the insides of the ravioli were still cold. Overall it wasn't a good place to eat. It was a nice atmosphere and the people were nice but the food wasn't worth it.

Food was great, fresh and hot:) Went there on our way to and from our vacation. Great service and food.

Terrible place. Floors are uneven. Lighting is crap. Watch out for the 18% gratuity at the end of your bill. It's called "company policy" LOL Yeah right... In Canada we tip according to service. Not what a company decides to do. As for the food I've had better for less money. I had 7 course meal for $41 while this place charges $16 for a bowl spaghetti? Save your money and cook a better meal yourself.
