Whole Foods Market

I truly enjoy shopping at this location. The reason for the one star is the catering department the manger is rude. I needed a small fruit platter, you would think 24 hours would be enough notice. Apparently not. I will continue to shop, but will never deal with the catering department again. And the store manager wasn't any help either.
This store has two levels. The lower level has all the produce and frozen items and coffee. The upper level has wonderful selection of hot foods and bread with a huge variety of beverages. The best part of the store is the dining area where you can sit down and have your meals. It is not too crowded. Pro Great for mother's who have to wheel their baby carriage. The store has a huge amount of space to maneuver around. Con Customer Service is not consistent. People are rude and not friendly at all. Extremely far from the train station you have to walk several blocks.
I love this Whole Foods because it feels so welcoming to families, since it's in a mostly resiential area. They always have the best selection of foods, including your vegan and gluten-free variety. I love the olive bar and the coffe bar too! I'd suggest shopping here for luxury items though, because going shopping for a full grocery list will cost more than a pretty penny.
This is self-evidently a useful (although often too pricey) market, and the spacious cafe (while it can be on the noisy side with screeching infants and cellphone yellers) is a real asset to the neighborhood, with decent coffee at less than Starbucks price. Unfortunately, there’s one way the store exhibits a discourtesy to the customer that borders on contempt, and can be really annoying. Should you point out that you’ve been inadvertently overcharged or the register has rung up the price for the wrong item, you’re told you have to go to the customer service desk to get reimbursed. I don’t know if that’s company policy or just the way this particular store is managed, but if the service desk is busy, it means that after you’ve waited on the purchase line, you're now trapped on yet another line, have to re-explain the whole stupid situation, etc. It seems the cashiers are not allowed to correct their error (or a mechanical error) themselves, and while obviously none of this is their fault, it’s easy to get the impression from the general attitude that you’re being punished for requesting the refund. The service desk will expertly resolve everything and, to their credit, it seems they even refund the entire price of the item, not just the overcharge, but I’d rather forego that nicety for the sake of an easier and speedier resolution.
Spend my vacation in NYC and visited Whole Foods several time. Best grocery store for a vegan. Love it! Best thing was the Quinoa Sushi... I'm addicted to it now!
