Tasty eclectic American menu with nice cocktail offering. The king bee cocktail is nice, with a honey vodka, prosecco, and Darjeeling. Asparagus and farro salad was great. Quite competitive burger with special sauce. Great charcuterie and Saxelby cheese offerings too. The jasper hills cheese in bark was lovely.
Great twist on classic American Menu, great cocktails as well.
Pretty much one of NYC's many hidden gems. Great cocktails, friendly and cool wait staff, a small but always well chosen wine selection and impeccable food. Every dish is the right size, fresh, and usually mouthwatering. Heading out to Red Hook is daunting to some but it's really not very far. Fort Defiance is one of my top five places to eat in the city at any price.
Inventive and traditional at the same time, no bar makes better drinks and better food. This is the heart and soul of Red Hook -- a place with no paucity of heart and soul.
Delicious brunch! Love the bloody marys. Must return for the famed muffaleta.
