Just got back from there. The atmosphere was better than the food. I had a taste of my date's dish, broiled cod, and enjoyed it better than mine, swordfish. Next time I will order something different but I am sure that it will taste just fine. Prices a bit high for the amount of food in my opinion. Overall, I would recommend Starr Bistro.
We first discovered Starr Bistro when my sister was a sophomore in high school- it was an unexpected treasure in Cortland County when we were en route to a family wedding. Low and behold she ended up enrolling at SUNY Cortland; she is now in her fifth year there as a graduate student. We have loved, and chosen, Starr Bistro for every family meal upon visiting- including her undergraduate graduation evening. In short, Starr Bistro presents diners with the three most important aspects of a restaurant experience: Great service, excellent value, and delicious food. As a New York City resident I can attest to that fact that, if stationed in Manhattan, Starr would rank among to most celebrated restaurants- booming in success. I am happy to see that we have such a great option when visiting my sister here in Cortland, though- and may have to return well after she finishes her graduate program! Keep up the superb cooking!
