People seemed to enjoy themselves, which accounts for the 2 stars The owner did not seem to try to get to know us, as everytime we communicated he asked if they were doing the ceremony music and when the wedding was. There didn't seem to be much communication between him and our dj Joe either. Joe said he received our instructions and he did get a special cd from the owner that my wife providide. it had a track of her late grandfather singing and she was to dance with her brother to it. This was all explained in writing and verbally. We asked that he please verify the cd beforehand. Joe did not set up dance floor lights, which were not on our contract that he had. I had emails between the owner and I stating otherwise. Joe gave pushback but went and got the dance lighting. When it came time to play her late grandfathers song. Joe calls her up, plays dean martin singing and says "i'll go ahead and play this and we can have your grandfather come up and sing" to which my wife replies "my grandfather passed away, thats why we gave you this cd" and he said that it wouldn't play in his laptop, which means that not only did he not check it, but that he didn't actually read what we had sent him, because a deceased relative cannot come up and sing. the last problem was that on the thumb drive i gave him and written instructions provided, i had a song named "lastsong". it was a combo of two songs we both love that i made special for use as the last song. he did not play this song. The last song that was played was at least one of the slow songs I requested, but it was still heartbreaking to me to have the night end that way. We will not recommend them to anyone

We booked Whirlin Disc for our wedding because the venue mentioned them as a possible option. The owner was really nice and easy to deal with. The problem came when we got our DJ- if there was anything bad about our wedding day, it was him!! We had asked for an outgoing DJ - what we got is an older, very quiet, not outgoing at all guy who played old and strange-for-wedding music- horrible!! I never really complain or review anything but felt that I should for this so that maybe someone else can avoid the same thing! He didn't play the types of music or songs we requested. Our friends kept wondering why the DJ was playing such bad music- kept going up to him and requesting other stuff, which he didn't play. Looking back, I would have booked with a different company for sure. Music is a really important part of your wedding- and having bad music makes you realize that! I'm not saying everyone will have the same experience .. but just wanted to share mine.
