Larry's II Restaurant
Reviews

My family has been going to Larry's for years. I think the remodel was a great success: the cafe area is beautiful and the dining room is clean and bright. The food is comforting, consistent, and quality. You can have a great lunch with soup and the salad bar on a student budget or go out with the whole family for a birthday dinner.

This morning I went into Larry's II. My intention was to see if the front of the house had improved. I was checking into local establishments for a reception after a funeral. Having worked in F&B for 10 years I knew that restaurants get an abundance of 5 gallon containers for such things a mayo, potato and macaroni salad, etc. I went in and asked the hostess about this. To say she was FAR LESS THAN HELPFUL is an understatement! I got some lame excuse about reusing them. I told her point blank she had NO INTEREST IN HELPING. Had she been a smart hostess/cashier, she would have said let me take care of this customer and I'll check and see if we have any extras. Yes, restaurants do reuse them but NO WAY are they reusing every single bucket that they couldn't have spared one. Sadly the hostess this morning lost business for Larry's II, and all because someone didn't have enough professionalism and was just flat out lazy. Next time maybe she will think before acting this way with a potential customer, as you never know when you are being scrutinized. Needless to say Larry's II is permanently off my list for anything, and said so loud enough as I walked out the door.

Nice building. The food was a tad bland, but cooked well. The salad bar and wait staff were great.

I love Larry's because it's like the Boston Bar, Cheers! When you walk in, everybody knows your name. Super friendly place and great food at reasonable prices.

Great spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Gotta love local NJ diners (Although I don't think Larry's wants to be called that)! The food is good and so are the prices. This is my usual spot for a quick, non fast food, bite.
