Fantastic place to eat for some weary travelers! My wife and I were driving through the night with our two children, and decided to stop here for breakfast. The food was great, and the service was even better. The waitress gave our two year old some snacks, and volunteered to wash our baby bottles and sippy cups. It was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had.
good food great atmosphere and awesome service
Great service. But food left a little to desire.
Great food
We stumbled upon this place on a Sunday morning while returning from a vacation. We were hoping to find a place that served breakfast all day, but when we saw a line of locals standing on the sidewalk, waiting for the Cafe to open at 11am for the Sunday Buffet, we figured we had a winner. Within 10 minutes of the doors being unlocked, every seat was full and more were waiting. The buffet ($9.95/adult; $7.95 for 7 yr old; $4.95 for 4 yr old when we were there in July '09) was stocked with the freshest, best prepared, mouthwatering food we had during the entirety of our vacation. Every single thing we tried -- and there was a LOT of variety -- was fantastic. The day we were there, the buffet included fried chicken, roast beef, bbq brisket and 3 or 4 other meat dishes; cucumbers and tomatoes fresh from the garden in a homemade cream and dill sauce (that I'd have taken home a gallon of if they'd have let me), scalloped potatoes seasoned with ham, mashed potatoes like your grandmother made, sweet potatoes, and more than a dozen other vegetables and salads. We were too stuffed to try the pie. If I were driving cross country on I-80, I'd consider the 17 miles (each way) from the interstate to the Cozy Inn Cafe well worth it to eat there.
