I was there with my in-laws and husband on Saturday night 1/31/15. Honestly, the restaurant is immaculate, absolutely beautiful inside and out. The food however was not as good as I anticipated. The beer selection was very limited. Our waitress was friendly and did a very good job, however her and the other servers appearances could have been better. The weirdest thing of our entire meal was the pimento cheese and crackers. I believe it looked really cheap and tacky that we had crackers in individual wrapped packages. I also believe the food was way over priced. My husband and his brother got deep fried seafood dishes with cole slaw. The cole slaw honestly had tasted like chopped cabbage and water. No flavor at all. I got the drunken jack. My steak was ok, over cooked but it had a very very odd flavor. I ate most of it but the best part of my meal was the baked potato. My mother in law got the special which was mahi and "jumbo" shrimp. The shrimp were just over the size of my finger and as a petite woman my fingers are not "jumbo" sized. The atmosphere was great and I believe that with a little work on their food they would be amazing.

This is a delayed review as we visited in December 2013 while en route to Wilmington on a short business trip. Beautiful building and decor. Impressive menu. The service was substandard as was the food. The fish was "fresh frozen" and nothing special. Sweet potato was over cooked and the dish lacked basic seasoning. This was a serious disappointment as I can cook at home with fresher ingredients and tasty seasoning. The wait time was long and our glasses of tea and water were not refilled in a typical timely fashion. Our server did not appear to really enjoy her job and we were polite and forgiving because she was young. The prices were much higher than expected and the portions small relative to the very large plates. Two adults with no dessert or alcoholic drinks - over $70. I do not envision returning to this restaurant and strongly feel it is very overrated.

An excellent restaurant. Srervice was prompt, food was delicious; the seafood in particular was fresh and well-sourced. The ambiance (at least where we were sitting) was very private (good for family gatherings), though they did have a bar for anyone interested. I would definitely eat here again.
