Bread was tasteless. How do you make bread tasteless? They did. Meals were pricy. So you do not expect to get your cocktail sauce in a squeeze bottle? I had a pasta dish, no offering of grated cheese. Suggestion, use pizza dough for you bread. And bring the cocktail sauce in a cup. Oh ya cheese please. Just saying. Oh the food was good.

Before dinning we had drinks at the bar. We were seated quickly by a wonderful hostess. Our waitress was very polite and on top of our every need. Our food came fairly quickly. My husband ordered blackened shrimp cooked to perfection. And I ordered a ribye with baked potato and salad all cooked perfect! Desert was delicious bread pudding with rum sauce. Was beautiful over looking the water with the sun going down. My favorite restaurant in Oriental!

This was our second visit and we returned primarily for the outside porch seating and the view of the town docks. The tuna burger was excellent, the award-winning chili outstanding, especially with cheese and sour cream and the Dos Equis Amber on tap a great beer and a great value. The greeter and server were friendly and helpful. The French fries were hot and crisp, perfectly flavored. On the down side, the salad was pale and the ranch dressing tasted suspiciously like blue cheese. The barbecue sauce on the burger was distressingly messy. Overall though, we were pleased with the experience. If they got better salad greens, I'd up it to a five star, or at least a 4.5.

I was very disappointed with my over all dining experience Feb. 18, 2011. From start to finish it was horrible. The hostess was rude and offered no greeting. The service was beyond slow and very unattentive. My meal was unfit to eat. I sent my entire meal back untouched. My salad was comprised of brown iceberg lettuce and translucent cucumbers and onions. We waited 20 mins. or more just to get our drink order taken and there were only 3 other tables in our servers section. We waited another 20 mins. for our server to bring us our water. The soup and salad that we ordered when we placed our drink order took another 20 mins. My entree was tough and bland. My companion order fried foods that turned out okay. But his mashed potatoes were bland and unfit as well. Not only was the food bad but the hostess was walking around the deck smoking and with the doors open the smoke was entering the dining room. The "chef" or cook came out the kitchen at one point and I realized he had a bushy unkept beard another gross me out moment. Later on I did see him smoking as well. All and all I will never come back here again and am embarrassed it was my idea to dine here. The last visit to the restaurant was in 2004 and I loved it I guess over the years the quality has gone down drastically.

Just awesome......drinks before dinner well done to order.....very consistent food and service.
