Branciforte's Brick Oven
Reviews

Woah! Excellent place to eat, excellent staff. Very kind and very good at attending diners. As for the food excellent pizza it's comparable to the pizza at Asheville's Mellow Mushroom. Great Management, and a good vibe overall, well done!

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants not only in the area, but in the world. I was very excited to have an opportunity to go for the first time in years recently, but was so disappointed. The food and service both have gone downhill since my last visit. Less than 5 parties were seated when I arrived, but service was still incredibly slow. I got the excuse that there was a large party on the patio, and having worked in restaurants my whole life until last year, I can understand that sometimes throws a wrench in things, but it didn't look to be more than 10-15 people. I waited around 10 minutes before I was greeted by my server or offered any water, and service remained slow the rest of the night. We might have ordered more wine had this not been the case. Wait staff seemed immature and under-trained for offering anything close to a fine-dining experience. We split a pizza and an antipasto plate, and the pizza was not the sort of delicate, delicious thing I remember being served before. Everything just seemed dumbed down from what Branciforte's was when it opened, and I have to wonder if the local populace has had an influence on that when I see reviews stating things like "Well Olive Garden is cheaper and you get more food!" Maybe it's just been a tough crowd to cater high-class, high-quality food to, but I was very sad to see it going the way it's going. I will still give it another chance and hope for the best if I'm in the area, but this won't be a place I rave about and take people from far away to anymore.

My wife and I went there on a date night and must say it was an excellent experience. Food was great, service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. We highly recommend it.

Fantastic food! I could eat there for lunch and dinner (if only they served breakfast too...) The prices are a bit high for regular Wilkes County folk, which I actually enjoy because it keeps all the people you'd rather not see in a restaurant at bay. The prices are incredibly reasonable for fine dining and the service is great. I highly recommend you go find out for yourself

The best pizza I have ever eaten. Best cut of steak I have ever eaten. I was thrilled to find such a gem of a restaurant in a place like Wilkes County. Great staff, usually pretty empty when I go there but I assume its because the meals are a little higher than most are used to paying for in this area. The prices are fair for what you get.
