take good care of matt kleven ,my oldest son ,thankyou jeff kleven ,he says the place is fun!!
I've been going to Coyote Joe's since I turned 18 (now 22) and it is a great bar. The service has always been excellent. If you go for their 1-2-3 nights it might take a few extra minutes to get your drinks (which are super cheap even on regular nights), but that's because so many people show up to party. The concerts there are always awesome, and you can't beat how cheap their ticket prices are for pretty much all of them. I've been to at least 5 concerts there and I've never had a complaint. The other reviews I've seen about the bouncers being rough or management not caring are certainly surprising. Yeah sure they've had to escort people out some of the times I've been there but that was because they were clearly very drunk and trying to start fights. That or they were removing underage drinkers (which is stupid on its own). I've seen drunken girls swing and shove at the bouncers and the guys handled her in an appropriate way. Needless to say, I love this bar and will gladly keep going. Don't let a few bad reviews ruin this bar for you. If you're in the Charlotte area and love country music, this is definitely a bar you need to check out!
Had a great night at Coyote Joes the weekend of 11/30/12! Everyone was rather friendly, drinks weren't too pricey and Corey Smith put on a great show! I do have a complaint, and a fairly serious one at that. At the end of the night I had stepped outside to gather the people I came with since we were about to leave and the bar was closing in 30 minutes or so. I took 2 steps out the back door and turned to check behind me to see if my friend was following me and the bouncer guarding the door grabbed me, a thin framed 22 year old woman, by the arm and forcefully pushed me even further back into the railing off to the right. I never made an attempt to go back in, only turned to see if my friend was there. I still have bruises from his fingers wrapping around my arm, and from me hitting the railing on the stairs that he pushed me against. I understand this may be normal tactics for ridding your bar of drunk / obnoxious people, but I in no way-shape or form was doing anything to cause to be treated that way. I've been stewing on writing a review for a little over a week now, but after reading where other people have felt "abused" by the staff, I feel as though I needed to voice my concern as well. That was my first and last time at Coyote Joes. I'm not one to go to "clubs" anyways, so I doubt I would have been back in the first place, but I definitely won't be back to see what other physical pain the staff can inflict on costomers. Let alone...women.
Best country bar!
