If you're looking for good BBQ in Butner, drive 15 minutes south and go to the Pitt in Durham.
It's 100 times better.

Great place, people very friendly, service is good. I work close by and like swinging in to get something going to or leaving work.
BBQ Barn set the standard for the worst BBQ sandwich I have ever tasted! After many years in the military I usually eat just about anything and do not like wasting food. However, I could not eat this BBQ sandwich and had to throw most of it away. I won't be going back! If you are in this area and want good BBQ, drive a few miles further and go to Bob's BBQ over on highway 56 and Lake RD in Creedmoor.
