My wife and I dropped in whilst on a gentle road trip. Absolutely superb! Food was good home cooking and the people very welcoming to two English abroad in freezing temperatures !!
Broiled scallops and shrimp in a lemon butter sauce were very good. The owner is a first class guy who knows how to prepare seafood properly. Also, get the broccoli salad if they have it. Awesome!!
Everyone was friendly and the food was good. Reminds me of home cooked meals (we came on Sunday and had buffet) and it was good.
The food is ok, but nothing spectacular. We had fried flounder and sauteed scollops. The flounder was ok, how can you mess up fried. But the scollops where like hocky pucks. When I told the waitress about them, she when back into the kitchen and got the cook (supposedly owner). the cook was very rude, told me that "was the way their customers liked them cooked". After telling me this, I said nothing more, paid my bill and will never go back.
Food is fresh. Scallops are deep fried. Most food we had was deep fried and had little or no seasoning in the batter. Its OK food for the area but sub par compared other seafood restaurants I've eaten at.
