My husband and I like the food here. We have lived in Montana, Wyoming and Oregon--all rural towns. Given the areas we have lived, we like New China's food the best. It is freshly cooked; batter is thin and crisp; has a savory but not overpowring sauces;and you can actually find the meat amongst the veggies and noodles or pasta.
Being used to very good Asian food, this establishment just doesn't make the grade. While the food is generally well prepared in that it isn't over or under-cooked, it is on the bland side. Sorry to say, but most of it tastes like it came right out of the freezer or can. There just isn't anything that stands out as being noteworthy....no "to-die-for" offerings. They really need to develop a *signature* entree to give the locals a good reason to visit other than a lunch/dinner buffet
Service is decent, but the food just isn't up to par with ANY Chinese restaurant I have eaten at. Hours are very strange, you never know for sure when they are going to be open.
