I called Eastport Marina and reserved a skitoon and a two bedroom cabin for one night. One week before we were supposed to be enjoying our mini-vacation I received a call from a female employee. She said they had rented the cabin on top of my reservation, the other person had rented it for 4 days so would I change. I said no because I already had family coming in from out of town and I had just found out my unit had been put on alert. Two days later the owner called and said they had rented the cabin to the other lady first and they would not be able to rent the cabin to me but he would give me a discount on the boat. I explained that we have a baby that would need to have ready access to the cabin and this might be my last vacation with my family. He did not care, he blamed his employees for the issue, but he did get an additional 3 days out of the deal. This caused me to have to scrounge for other cabins and boats. I found another cabin and a bat, and it will cost me an additional $400.00 for the same amount of time. Do NOT trust that your reservation is secure, if they get a better deal they will boot you out of your reservation. Their word and your security deposit mean nothing.
