If you are lucky enough to enjoy the incredible food that comes from Freda's kitchen you should stop by. My wife and I were traveling south from northern Missouri when we reached Springfield, Mo. We were looking for some good ol' home cookin' when we came across the 417 magazine website with rave reviews for "Freda's Uptown Cafe" in Marshfield, Mo. After a bit of wife convincing we decided to drive 30 minutes out of the way just to try the food. After making a decision like that you kinda create some very high expectations for that restaurant. WOW!!! were we suprised. Freda not only met our incredibly high expectations but surpassed them by far. I had the hamburger steak with eggs and hashbrowns. My wife had the decadent cherry stuffed French Toast with a cherry glaze topping. These meals brought me back in time. Sitting at the table with the family, momma cooking in the kitchen and everything's ok again. Not only was the food memorable but the service was outstanding. Not only would my wife and I return but we now make it apart of our travels down south. Thank you Freda for creating such an incredible memory, we look forward to many more!
You have to try the Stuffed French Toast!!! With Strawberries, whipped cream and warm maple syrup! Absolutely the best....
My favorite place to eat breakfast and you can still smoke at your table.
