I love this place. I'm new to this area and The Spotted Pig in Lexington, Missouri felt welcoming. The staff is great and they remember you--really. It's like my own "Cheers (the TV show)". During the day until dinner time it is a family restaurant. Monday night pool (billiards) tournament; other nights Karaoke; and special events like the Chip-n-Dale dancers, New Years' Eve and live bands. About 9pm the younger, single crowd starts to fill the place. I love their sweet potato fries, and Reuben sandwiches. The Spotted Pig holds about 200 patrons; has large screen televisions that feature televised sports events; two pool tables; two bars; this restaurant-bar is located in the Midwest USA and is somewhat a treasured relic from the past. Currently, i smoking is allowed inside--but there is an outside patio area as well. So don't come to this establishment if you aren't looking for old-time Americana culture and values--it is in the center of Civil War Historical Sites and Museums. The food is good, but best described as old, time Americana style. So, Sushi is not on the menu ;but, good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and fun are on the mission statement--if they had one! The character from the sitcom, The Andy Griffith Show, would be a likely "patron-type". "He" could bring his guitar and cigarettes and his lady and have a good time.
