Jilly's Cafe & Steakhouse
Reviews

We went to Jilly's Café & Steakhouse on Valentine's Day. The wait staff was very pleasant. The food was NOT very good at all. We ordered stuffed mushrooms, and received 3, which was a very odd number for a couple's date place (were we supposed to fight over the third one? or romantically share?). We also ordered the artichoke and spinach dip, which was thick and lumpy, did not seem fresh at all. My husband and I ordered the special for Valentine's Day, the Surf and Turf. After the second bite of the lobster tail, it was so bad, we could not even eat it. It felt and tasted as though we were chewing rubber bands. The steak was OK, but for being fillet mignon, was not a very good cut. My baked potato was hard and not done. My husband's was fine. My daughter liked her steak and mashed potatoes. My kids also liked their desserts. We were so excited to try this place out, especially since steakhouse was in it's name. If a place is overly busy, and we just receive bad service we will usually give it another try. We more than likely will not take the trip to Jilly's again. However, again, the wait staff was great!

A mixed review. I went to the bar for the discounted happy hour appetizers and got the nachos which I thought was safe and they weren't very good. The restaurant side was nicer with a good menu selection. They have a good Mayfair dressing for the salad. The muffins in the bread basket were good. I believe they had grinded up carrots in them. The restaurant side was a nice and clean atmosphere/environment for celebrating special occasions. Coupons are available in the Fenton Magazine and possible though other publications and mailings.

The wait staff here is amazing. I have visited multiple times & am always helped with recommendations. I never walk away with less than an amazing experience. I love LOVE the medallions & bread pudding. Everything is always soo fresh. Last time I was in the bartender informed me all about the garden Jilly's grows every year to incorporate into their recipes. That is astonishing. BEST local restaurant around!

I really think it is a shame that you allow a company to use your restaurant to deceive people. You think you won a free dinner and it is actually a sales pitch. They tell you it is not any sort of sales pitch and you just won dinner at Jilly's. I know, can't get something for nothing but, that's beside the point you still let them use your restaurant and lie to people about the reason they are going there. The girl that answered the phone at Jilly's said i am sorry that i feel like I do but we have been working with this company a long time. I told her that makes it even worse. Well, it is a sales pitch and, Jilly's that is terrible marketing decision on your part. I know times are hard and we all need the business we can get but, really? I am very sorry you allow someone to do this in your place of business. I will no longer be patronizing your business and I will pass the word on to others that you let people get duped into getting a dinner with no strings attached. I know i am only one voice but bad word of mouth about a business travels fast and multiples exponentially. It is common business knowledge.

Chicken Spedini, Wings, Fresh Vegetables - I have to say that I was quite impressed this weekend! I'm an experienced party host and foodie. I usually host gatherings at my home, and if anyone else does, you can understand the work involved. For this party I decided to look over my options. I found Jilly's to be reasonably priced and I read some awesome reviews, so I decided to try it out. The private room was beautiful, the food tasted and was presented higher than my expectations, and the staff was so helpful and kind. The party was organized by the planner and was fully aware of my standards and budget. The head chef even popped in to say hi and make sure that everything was ok. Needless to say, I didn't have to do any of the work and was able to enjoy every minute of the party. I will definitely host another party with Jilly's and tell everyone about this gem in the area.
