Drakes Steak & Ale
Reviews
Ordered pulled pork sandwich with Texas hash browns. Didn't know what the "Texas" referred to, but sounded too interesting not to try it. The sandwich was one of the larger sandwiches I have seen, a mess of pork piled high, with a pronounced smoke that wasn't overpowering. Hash browns were a cheesy creamy concoction that probably included a little onion and bell pepper, just enough for a little zing, but not enough for me to be able to differentiate the specifics. Very enjoyable, overall.
The relaxed atmosphere is great, very clean, servers were excellent. Our steaks were the best we've had in a long , long time.I will eat there every chance I can. The steaks grilled over a wood fire, makes them wonderful. They are also seasoned perfectly.
My co-worker is a family member of the owners and when she learned we were going to be in Hannibal recommended that we eat there. And we are very glad we did! The food was delicious, a substantial quantity, and came in a timely manner. The wait staff were very pleasant and attentive. Thanks to the man at Crescent Jewelers for giving us spot on directions and the suggestion from Katie, we had a great dining experience!!!
My son & his wife & my grandson took me to Drakes for my 72nd birthday. Service was a bit slow. We all got something different, mine was the filet & it was done perfectly. The rest of the family ate with gusto & loved it all. Then came the birthday surprize of a scoop of icecream on a small slice of cake.Very nice & elegant. I'll go back whenever my son comes to get me!
Medium steak way over cooked. Tenderloin not sure what it was. Never again
