Fat Daddy's BBQ
Reviews
Burnt ends were good, brisket was acceptable, ribs weren't very good, they were smoked but barely covered in rub, sauces were decent, mac and cheese was out of a pouch and was mediocre, we definitely enjoyed the fries and the smoked and fried wings were good, overall was mildly disappointed that this establishment has such great reviews and the food wasn't quite as good as described.
Great food and great service. Well worth the trip. Had the nachos, pulled pork sandwich and the loaded baked potato. All was excellent and each had a big portion size with a reasonable price point. If you are in Forsyth, stop in and have a great meal.
I took my dad to Fat Daddy's after reading about it in the cooperative magazine our power company sends us. We both got ribs, however, my dad's had a horrible smell of boar and tasted even worse. My ribs had a slight taste of boar, but were overall edible. When the waitress asked how the food was, my dad being polite declined to say anything and the waitress gathered from his politeness that the food was not good. She asked what was wrong with it and dad told her. The owner came out, stated this had never been a problem and took the ribs back and gave my dad new ones. Sadly, the second batch arrived with the same boar taste. While the customer service is great, the food however, is not. Definitely a big let down, especially for the price. We did enjoy the 120 mile drive.
The food and the service are great. It is common for the owner to talk to customers and make everything was great. He and his staff try very hard to resolve any issues that may come up. I have been going here for years and never have had a problem. You're treated like family here.
