Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, and very attentive service. The prices were very reasonable. My wife and I both ordered steaks and they were cooked perfectly. We'll be coming back here again next time we're in the area. Don't forget to try the bread pudding!
I had not known about the Ventana Cafe until a resident of Excelsior Springs, MO mentioned it to me. I "googled" it. What a surprise! I was so impressed with their website.I knew I had to try this restaurant. Upon entry the Cafe is neat, clean and orderly. The ambience resembles the 1940's to me. This was on a Tuesday evening "all you can peel & eat shrimp". The food and service was outstanding; well worth the trip to this quaint Missouri town. Check their website and be surprised!
We went there not really knowing what to expect, just happened to be in the area and had previously checked to see what our options were. My wife and I were surprised to find a clean, open, and friendly environment. The cheesy chicken dip was amazing as was the potato salad. All in all great experience from the moment we entered to when we had finished with our meal. Oh and I thought the prices were reasonable. I would recommend it, highly.

I've eaten here a few times and was very impressed with the high class atmosphere, definitely one of the best Excelsior Springs has to offer. Although they messed up my order on my first visit their quality of service and food more than made up for it. Ventana has always been the restaurant of choice for special occasions.
