We were in Crookston for our yearly "St Patrick's Day celebration and had 6 pool side rooms. We were treated very well with warm towels , clean rooms, friendly staff and went out of their way to open the converence room for visiting after the pool closed so as not to disturb other rooms. Can't wait to go back as they accomidated 25/30 family members and not one snag, everything went so smoothly.
The hotel on a whole is on the right track to making improvements and the staff tried their best to be very helpful. The first night we stayed we had no heat and when asked about it were told it would be fixed the next day, which it was. I would strongly encourage everyone to watch their rates and the billing from the moment you check in as it took us almost 2 weeks after our stay for them to credit my bank account and bill the credit card we presented at check in (the other one was used only for our reservation and was never swiped nor signed for).
Great place to stay! Cost was nice on the wallet. Friendly staff, very clean hotel. Nice pool, hot tub. Bar staff made you feel like family. Very happy with my choice to stay in this hotel!
A very friendly, newly independent hotel. Great staff, clean, comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. At the time of our visit (Oct 2013), the new owners had only been there or a few months and were working hard to renovate the place. We had two rooms; one ended up being one of the rooms that had been redone and the other had not. The "new" room was a definite improvement, but even the old room wasn't too bad: big TV, comfortable beds, and generally very clean. The pool area and the pool itself were nice and clean. Like I said, the hotel is under heavy remodeling but it was nothing that disturbed us as guests, and of course that will be a temporary problem. According to the locals, the previous owner had run the place into the ground and they were very curious to learn if things were improving. We didn't try the restaurant, but the locals told us that the restaurant had improved vastly under the new management. We are planning another trip to Crookston in a few months, and we will very likely stay here again.
