Best homemade soups in town, overall great food and great service.
First off, there was glare ice all over the bottom steps when you walk in and the server didn't do shit about it when it was mentioned by someone who is disabled. The food wasn't great and was a bit pricey... Three small pieces of cod and some fries cost $11! If you want to play pool, stick to the app on your phone. You may as well put your hands in your pocket! The building looks like it hasn't had a paint job in over 20 years and don't even bother asking the waitress to name any prices of beer off the top of her head because she won't know any..
Don't waste your money or time
Myself and at least 50 others attended a wedding reception there this past weekend. It seemed as though the owners thought it might be a good idea to have weddings all of a sudden and then changed their minds during the reception, because all of the guests were asked to leave after only being there for an hour and a half. The owner was a belligerent drunk who was constantly screaming obscenities when ever I saw him. The restaurant treated the wedding guests very poorly, including the bride and groom on their special day. N oone should ever have to experience such poor behavior on their wedding day. I was not in the wedding, nor was I family, I was just a guest who, along with everyone else traveled 4 hours to be at this wedding. It was uncalled for, horrible behavior from this restaurant. VERY disappointed!! I would never recommend this place to anybody!
I was at the wedding and Ive been to the Boathouse on countless occasions, and the food is always wonderful and my children have a wonderful time. Its no wonder this wedding party had an awful time they were looking for trouble the moment they walked through the doors of Carols establishment, and proved it when they didnt follow the verbal contract and began fighting with the wait staff. The Boathouse Bar and Grille is a family friendly restaurant open all year long!
