Valentino's Italian Grill
Reviews
Couldn't be more impressed. Food: warm bread with olive oil dip and tons of cheese, without asking, before the order. Bacci as an app that was rich and delicious. Soup/salad that came with the entree was more flavorful and dynamic than most entrees. The Main course was a large portion, equally delicious and in good time. All this and wine for under $50 bucks for two. Stunned. Service: Everyone was conversational but professional. Fast service, very attentive. Not pushy or demeaning when I asked how to pronounce 'bacci' it's Bah-chi by the way. Loved this place and will come back again without a doubt.
I think the food is the best Italian in town. Our bartender was right on with the drinks we ordered. The Pomegranate Martini was perfect according to my company and New York Strip w/ that sweet cherry glaze is always cooked to perfection. Every time my girlfriend and I eat there we are always excited for the New Specials the Chef offers.. To call it "Awful" is a stretch.. I know the Chef there and cooking out of a Microwave isn't in his vocabulary and if he knew anyone had and "Awful" experience Chef Louie would be the first to come out personally and do what ever he needs to make his guests at the least satisfied with their experience.
I rarely have any complaints about restaurants but Valentino's was awful and I left incredibly disappointed. The food at this place is horrible and over-priced. The meals my fiance and I had tasted as if they came out of a microwave. The drinks are bad as well. I ordered a lemon drop and dirty martini; the bartender did not know how to make them correctly.
Went for dinner on 1-31-14. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in. Our waitress was not only attentive and knowledgeable, but she made us feel like guests in her home. The food was fantastic. The salad was fresh and the dressing was wonderful. My veal picatta was delicious and the portion was generous. I would have licked my plate, but the waitress would not let me run out of bread. My wifes pasta was so good she made herself save some so she could have it again at home. I would give them six stars if I could. Will be back again and again.
Went here for the first time on Monday and was more than satisfied by my experience. You would never know a gem like this was in Lake Orion, especially looking at it from the outside. Valentino's is no chain restaurant - you can taste the respect for traditional Italian cuisine and care that went into their food. I haven't had an alfredo sauce like that except at my grandparents house and Valentino's was even better. Great service and incredible eats here.
