Love the Gavel! Very friendly staff, creative large menu, and everything is tasty! I recommend the prime rib sub and on Fridays the seafood chowder! Everything is a little pricey, but I have never had a bad meal there. What could make it better? Make your own dressings! How hard is it to make fresh ranch? I hate going out to eat and getting bottled dressings. Start making your own and I would for sure up it to 5 stars!
We are from out of town and were staying in Charlotte with relatives for a week. After eating the wet burrito, I wanted to eat there every night. The steak was good, the salad was nice, and the service was great. The seating is a little tight, but everyone in town wants to eat there!
