THE GOOD: If you're looking for a homestyle dinner to put under your belt, this place is it. I was passing through Cass City on a weeknight around dinner time, and stopped in. The Turkey Dinner jumped right off the menu. The plate came hot (not warm) complete with stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey (lots of it) and gravy, and a side order (my choice of tossed salad or cole slaw). And to top it off, I was offered ice cream for dessert (which I substituted with tapioca pudding (rice pudding was also optional). The biggest plus during my visit was the fact that the food was good and "hot". On a cold chilly night in October, the last thing you want in front of you is a plate of luke-warm food if you know what I mean. My only suggestion Nick, if you're reading this... how about a side of Cranberries with your Turkey Dinner for the finishing touch..., and for dessert, maybe a slice of homemade pumpkin pie (or at least maybe around the holidays). The only other thing I'd add to the selection is some kind of fruit - when I asked they had no fruit whatsoever available, but I'm sure if they knew I was coming back they would be happy to accommodate, because I got the impression that they are very interested in making the customer happy. Let's just say not only the waitress got a tip that night, but also the cook too. THE BAD: None to speak of. Wish we had a Nick's in every town! FINAL WORD: Next time your'e in Cass City and looking for a hot, home-style meal, stop on in to Nick's for a friendly hometown atmosphere. ~ Roger Dodger's Reviews :)
