China Garden

I am always satisfied. Their Chinese style fried rice is really good. Ask the owner for healthy choices and she will cook it healthy. She will be very frank on what is healthy and what is not. Her name is Sharon, I think. Nice lady. She used to own Chop Sticks in Bangor and sold it, so she is at this location full time now. Good for me.
Christine food is the best around. Most important, it is consistently good, I have yet to have an off day or a wrong order. Too many time have I frequented a restaurant only to have the cook mess something up, maybe he was mad, sad, in turmoil, or maybe he was out and the other place had the janitor cooking. Doesn't matter, I have always been assured that my order will be complete and the food good to go. If you don't get duck sauce with your egg roll, word of advice, ask for it. lol. They'll give you anything you want. Also, Mary rules too!
I went there when I was trying a gluten free diet. Being a vegetarian, gluten free can be difficult at times. The manager asked me about my diet and what types of food I liked, and then made me something that was meat and gluten free, and also suitable for a diabetic. You would expect that that combination would be bad, but she brought out a curried tofu dish that was outstanding. Every time I go there I am very satisfied with the food.
The food isn't excellent, but it's a lot better than the year old reviews from whiny customers make it out to be. Come on, it's Americanized Chinese food, what did you expect? There's no msg used, which is good news for people with allergies to it. The decor isn't all that great, but it's better than some of the places in Bangor, (like No.1). And if you're going to order wine, don't. It's basically just an overpriced bottle of Sutter Home.
the most disgusting Chinese I've ever had. the crab Rangoon had no cream cheese, and were dripping in grease. the pork fried rice looked llike white rice tossed in grease (there where still clumps of full white rice). the "pork" in the rice was 100% chunks of fat. the sesame chicken tasted like burnt grease, and there was a puddle of oil under my chicken fingers. pick chinatown express on stillwater over this dump.
