Dutch's At Silver Tree Restaurant

Excellent food. This is by FAR the best restaurant in the Deep Creek area. It is not even a competition. The staff is great, and the bartenders are always friendly. If you are on a budget they have a bar menu that is affordable but when you you're not, try the Filet Oscar. It is the best meal I have ever had. The Sunday Brunch is also great. Finally, the Harbor Bar is awesome in the summer and you can come by boat. Gotta compliment a place that does things the right way!
Amazing. Went here with my boyfriend for our two year anniversary. By far the best dining experience I've ever had. We sat outside and it was great to be able to smoke a cigarette outside in between courses. The waitress was very attentive and the food was amazing. I definitely recommend this to everyone.
Dutches buffet. Prime rib could not pass for anything other then mid well. Food ranges from not bad to good. Selections is pretty small for a building this size. The front of house staff needs to sit in front of a mirror and practice smiling. It becomes a reflex in the hospitality industry over time. That cranky "I am too good to be here" look needs to go.
Frankly the finest dinner restaurant I've experienced in quite some time. We were staying for the weekend at the neighboring condo-hotel, and this place was an extremely pleasant surprise. We ate here two nights in a row for dinner, and had fantabulous food both times. The menu is heavily seafood oriented -- I had blackened catfish one evening which was succulent, moist and perfectly cooked and spiced. The crab cakes are pretty much 100% crab meat and are deliciously lightly fried. The next night we had steaks and the filet was superbly cooked -- perfect on target for medium rare for me, and for medium well for my girlfriend. Just melting in your mouth fantastic. For the accompaniments the highlight was the twice-baked potato, which was a delicious mashed potato in a skin. The service was friendly and attentive. In all I would have to highly, highly recommend this place for anyone in the mood for an upscale dinner in the Deep Creek Lake area of Western Maryland.
Went here during Christmas week, so it was very busy. Had to wait 30 min for a table despite having a reservation. Kitchen ran out of scallops and refused to substitute something else of equal or more value. changed order to crabcakes (excellent!) and kitchen ended up giving us even more food. Had to wait for water and bread for more than 20 min. Excellent wine list. Despite mediocre service, the food was excellent and the restaurant made up for all the mistakes. We got a gift certificate for having to wait so long and extra food (shrimp-- excellent!) for the kitchen running out of scallops. Despite the problems, I still recommend eating here for a special occasion or once in a while. The food is high fat but oh so good! And the lodge style ambiance with the big fireplace is fabulous in the Winter time! You cannot be in a hurry if the place is full.
