Chateau Restaurant

The hostess took entirely too long to make eye contact, never mind take our name and have us seated. Our waitress Sandra was MORE than pleasant and very attentive. We ordered calamari as an appetizer ( no tentacles) it was tasty and the Italian wedding soup and clam chowda were decent as well. Our food on the other hand was DISGUSTING. we ordered two simple dishes: chicken parm and a meatball sandwich. The fries and onion rings were barely room temp and there was American cheese on my not so moist chicken parm ( YUCK) . We had one, very easy to please, 3 year old with us who ordered a pizza and wasn't remotely enticed by her mushy excuse of a pizza. I'm sorry, but for an "Italian " restaurant I was less than pleased. I can understand not having good fries but your chicken parm and meatballs should be ON POINT. Disgusted ! I wouldn't return even if it was free, but the waitress deserves a round of applause
The food in this place is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I have nothing bad to say. As a matter of fact I think I'll go there right now.
Terrible all around. The food is as about as Italian as the Chinese place up the block. It is awful American crap at extremely exorbitant prices.
My wife and I went here twice, on gift cards. Both experiences were very similar, and we're not in a hurry to return. While Chateau offers good service and decent atmosphere, the whole reason for dining out - the food - is disappointing. Last night we ordered toasted ravioli and gnocchi pomodoro. The ravioli seemed excessively fried and chewy, and the gnocchi was grossly overcooked. For these prices at a local chain, I would expect far superior quality to Olive Garden, but sadly, I'd choose the OG over this.
I havent even started eating their food and I don't like the place. They charge you more for take out then they do to sedan???
