The restaurant is fun and you are definitely paying for the experience of being there. The food is not very good, the staff is overwhelmed, and the prices are outrageous. My two teenagers are picky and not big eaters, however they were not allowed to order one kids meal, they both had to order two kids meals. It's their policy if the kids are over 10. Way too much food for both my kids, waste of money and food. My daughter wanted to go for her birthday dinner and she had a good time...but if we never go back that would be ok with me.
Its not as good as it used to be its gone downhill. The food for one thing is pricey and the menus dont really offer a whole lot used to be more options but now it seems as if the only popular thing left is the volcano. Bottom line if you havent been here for a while its ok but expect anything spectacular. Its mostly good enough to just come in and look at the fish tanks its more for kids. UPDATE: dont expect to come here now and see anymore Tropical Fish they took them all out! apparently the environment is changing and the changes were necessary who do really think is going to come here now?that was the only reason why this place ever had patrons! the food is expensive and not that good the service is slow and everything in the gift shop is WAY too expensive way to ruin not only the kids experience but also for the adults who loved to come in just soley for that purpose this has gone down hill in the last 5-6 years so i think in the next decade or so this restaraunt may close its not the same anymore you suck RC! part of my highlight trip to the mall was to see these fish now you only have fresh water not the same and NEVER will be!
Experience was nice. The staff was nice and very accommodating but the food was bland and over priced. 60 dollars for 2 adults and 2 kids not including the tip. If my kids didn't love the place so much, we wouldn't have went a second time.
The atmosphere was really cool but the food was not very good and very expensive.
Classic "go once to please your kids" type of place. The decor is awesome (hence two stars), & your kids will love it, but the novelty wears-off faster than beach weather in New England when you get the bill. Prices are out of the stratosphere for "OK" food. I'd say do it once to make your kids happy, to which it may become their "birthday dinner-only" type of place. Others have mentioned it below: (mediocre food & service mixed with absolute corporate greed). In a nutshell, it's like going to Applebee's & paying at least double for it for ambiance only kids under 10 would appreciate. If your kids are under three, they may just get scared & then you'll have a bad experience as well as the horrible bill.
