The location is actually very nice; the people who run it or own it? Not so much. Rabidly anti-gay but they cite the bible in their "loving" explanation and basically lump gays into the same category as murderers, thieves and adulterers. Gays and lesbians, take note and avoid at all costs.

We've been traveling the country in our motorhome and stopped in West Monroe at the end of our last trip. We love touring local wineries (been to 44 states) and sampling their wares, and my wife found this out of the way place quite by accident. What a find!!! We tasted a wonderful assortment of wine and had a blast just standing there talking with Jeff about how he ever got into the wine business and how he ended up in West Monroe, LA. The property is gorgeous, the building warm and inviting, and the wine ... the wine was surprisingly good. No chemicals. No additives. Just good, clean wine. If you're in the area this is a must stop, not just for the wine but for the personalities and the laid back Southern Hospitality. It's only a few winding road minutes south of I-20.

My wife and i attended the last spring event of 2012. I personally have visited several wineries/vineyards across america including Napa. I have never felt so welcomed at any one of my visits as i was at the Home and vineyard owned by Jeff and Libby Landry. Jeff met me at the walkway and shook my hand firmly and said " Welcome to our vineyard, on behalf of our family thank you for coming and let me show you around." We were one of hundreds of families there and his family made our family feel as if we were family in from out of town. The bands are pleasant set up with a background of beautiful grape vines. Great family atmosphere with huge sand oasis for the young ones. I will without a doubt return again, I suggest you take your family for memories you will never forget.

Fantastic place and great people. My wife and I were fortunate to meet Jeff and his wife while on a late Saturday morning visit. Our son was enjoying the grounds as we did a quick tasting and it was really a beautiful mid 80s July day so it was a perfect setting. After going through Jeff's great wine he offered a tour of the vineyard and we quickly accepted. He drove all three of us through the site and even took the constant peppering of questions posed by our son who was fascinated with the whole operation. We live in the Texas wine country so we made a pact to seek out wineries wherever they may appear on our travels around the country outside our area. We are so glad we stopped into the Landry Vineyards especially since its harvest time and we got to eat fresh grapes picked off the vine while we toured. Yum. Please support your local farmers and growers and stop shopping at Wal-Mart, One day the local farmer will be your best friend so start those ties today and patronize Landry Vineyards, you'll be so glad you did.
