Great "down home" cooking in a casual atmosphere. The staff is great, just like the food. They bake their own bread and everything is so fresh. You can't beat the prices and you'll love the food. Fancy it's not, but when looking for a great affordable place to eat check out Berry Patch. The crowd is another indication that this is a great place to eat. Be patient, they cook to order here, but worth the wait.
The Berry Patch Cafe is a little farther down the street. Google, can't get everything right. Anyway, great food at an okay price. It's slightly expensive, but is worth it if you ask me. Serve beignets, french jelly donuts with various fillings and topped with powdered sugar. They serve other foods too, but that's their most popular items. Great service and decor. If you're passing through Hammond, I would suggest stopping here!
Love the food and atmosphere... Hours ARE RIDICULOUS. Its never open when we want to go.
Our office orders from them about 2-3 times a week & we always get the salads, They are fabulous... Easy in & out service & the girls behind the counters is always smiling.
Very disappointed. When the cafe was in Ponchatoula I would go pretty often. Now that Berry Patch has changed location service is terrible and the waitresses never want to help you out. Hours suck as well!
