It was great the food was great and if you get pancakes you better have a empty stomach cause them things are huge
So, ok you MIGHT not deliberately exit I-20 amidst the dense pines between Ruston and Minden, east of Shreveport. You'll be rewarded with a fleat market (3rd weekends), cultural center and antiques: great primitives --waaay underpriced-- and fine furniture, jewelry and FOOD! Sharon's looks like it hosts the Lion's Club and it was described as "Home Food, no substitutions". Specials included ChiFried Steak, Beef Tips, Smothered Pork Chops and even Neckbones! Hot water cornbread outside of Arkansas! Hefty helpings of fresh greens, limas, cheesey macaroni! And, best at last, any number of desserts: buttermilk pie, Italian cream cake, a lemon transformed into cake! Did I mention around $7 a person? Closes Saturdays by 3pm, no Sundays. Worth the side trip!
