Recently moved to Alexandria. Nice coffee shop, well-lit, clean, good place to study. Attached to Hastings Bookstore. Limited bagel selection. Decently priced drinks and polite staff.
I am a military officer recently stationed at Fort Polk (about an hour away from Alexandria). As a city person (New York) who relishes the coffee shop experience I figured that I would be unable to find a good coffee shop in the area. It is a relief to sip my coffee, enjoy the free wireless, and periodically glance at the flatscreen TV on the wall showing CNN (not FOXNEWS!) Thank you Hastings!!
Good Coffee Shop Atmosphere. I've enjoyed almost every visit to Hastings. The coffee is pretty good and priced fairly.
Everything was great until they got rid of Devin Jackson. What kind of company fires their best and hardest working barista?!
