Mi Tierra has delicious food. As a bonus, it's very reasonably priced, the staff and servers are polite and hard-working, and the dishes are filled with the meat you expect to accompany your dish, not just fillers like some places. You won't be paying for the atmosphere (it's merely clean and simple), but if you're looking for a nice place to have a quiet, satisfying lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed in this local Mexican food establishment.
My husband and I just happened to stop at Mi Tierra while traveling through Hoisington, Kansas, on a road trip. Had no clue of the quality except for the crowd of cars parked on the street in front. And… we were delighted! We live in Santa Fe, NM, a foodie town if there ever was one and no slouch in the Mexican food category. But we were delighted with the chips and excellent salsa at Mi Tierra, and our two entrees were both outstanding. We agreed that Mi Tierra would be a "keeper" even in Santa Fe. Our original plan was to stick around this area for a couple of days to bird the wetlands. Now we look forward to returning to Mi Tierra for lunch tomorrow, before hitting the road again.
We love Mi Tierra! The food is great and the staff is awesome. We always look forward to our 'date night' at Mi Tierra. Try it for yourselves and you'll love it just as much as we do. Thumbs up from us!!
Great food and easy to find. Will definitely come back if we are ever in the area. We just came into town for the farm and ranch show from Limon, Colorado. Highly recommend you try this place out.
The wife and I both had steak and chicken fajitas and they were some of the best we've ever had. The chips and fresh salsa were great too. Stop in if you get the chance.
