Gella's is the best place to eat in Hays. The environment is industrial, enjoyable & inviting. It is a micro brew and the beer is award winning and fantastic. My favorite dish is the Filet Mignon and it rivals any steak I have had at much more expensive restaurants all over the US.

Went here for my birthday - simply put AMAZING FOOD. The service was outstanding, the food came out moderately fast, and atmosphere was a delight to dine in. It was the FOOD that caught our attention. When it comes to a nice fancy restaurant, the decor is nothing if the food is bad. Here the food was so delicious, with every bite I was amazed, the garlic fries... well there is too much to share, lets just say, they have top notch - quality food. The renovations are genius, and rustic. We loved everything about his place, and since I have been home I have shared it with everyone. So listen up, on your next trip to Hays, you must stop by Gella's - here's a tip, you might want to reserve seat, very far in advance! Enjoy!

Loved the sausage special. Cue the Beavis & Butthead jokes. But it was great, a good IPA, cool atmosphere...way more than I expected from Hays, KS but now I've been reminded not to judge a place by its freeways.

Highly recommend Gella's diner. Stopped here on a road trip to Colorado and while it wasn't a quick stop by any means it was well worth it. Atmosphere inside is great. Very modern and 'warehouse'-like on the inside which is perfect for a brewery. The menu had a ton of options. I was even more impressed with the .75 side substitutions (at least 12 different options from veggies to fries to mac n cheese). We were there for lunch I tried a beirock with fried green beans. Tasted amazing and the portion size was great for the price. My boyfriend had a club sandwich that he was really happy with and his fries were crispy and well seasoned. If you're road tripping past Hays take the 3 mile detour and have an unforgettable meal!

Excellent service - Samantha was very helpful and quite pleasant. Food is great. I had the NY steak - cooked exactly as I like (med rare - medium). Some fine beers (ales, actually) are made on the premises. Decor is up to date, and menu is varied enough. Definitely would recommend to friends.
