OH MY GOODNESS... I dream about the food here. I can't wait to have an excuse to go back to Emporia so I can make the trip to have dinner there again! AMAZING!
Arrived at 11:55 a.m. on a Thursday for lunch. Only two other customers seated. Took five minutes and the help of a seated customer to get someone to notice we were there. Took thirty minutes to get a hamburger and bowl of soup. Not the typical country diner that is in these parts. Food was o.k. but very generic. Allow plenty of time.
For Cottonwood Falls, KS this was an outstanding place to eat. The quality of the meat was outstanding and the portions weren't oversized, which I appreciated. I would like to see a better wine glass. The price of beef was high, but so was the quality. The facilities were outstanding. You would like to think this is the way it used to be, ha but it wasn't, enjoy!
We didn't stay at the Hotel but did eat at the restaurant. The food was fabulous and the service was very good.
