This place is not what you'd expect to find in a small town. Great food. Very clean. Huge portions. Not fancy, but succulent, not dried out!

Worst food we've ever had. Seafood platter not worth almost $20. Husband ordered steak cabobs. ..what a joke . Service was a joke.

Pulled pork was delicious! Fast service during lunch time even though there was only one server for the whole restaurant.

VERY GOOD, tender, not lots of fat, good flavor & not too dry. I was shocked. My husband and I went there for our anniversary. Plain metal building, inside was clean, not fancy, but nice. Bathroom was clean. My husband usually picks out places that I'd love every year (seafood!) so this year I picked one that he'd love. BBQ food usually takes me forever to pick off all the fat before I can eat, but not here. He got the BBQ Feast. (we should've & could've shared this one): brisket, pulled pork, ribs & chicken & I got the rib & chicken combo (and I had leftovers for lunch). Sauce: They said they made their own sauce - I liked the sweet one, my husband said it didn't need any. Sides: It came with corn bread muffins and 2 sides. We both got sweet potato fries (huge pile of them), he got cole slaw & I got the onion rings (go for the onion rings!) The onion rings were HUGE, I had to use my fork to cut them about 1 1/2" -2" high. Probably not health food, but it was good food. Dessert: I don't remember the name, but it had brownies, white chocolate pudding, whip cream and, I think, caramel - very yummy! Service: Our waitress did a nice job. We always had our glasses full. Price: about the same as Apple Bees or Ruby Tuesday's but tastes better and bigger portions. We plan on going again!

Aside from the delicious BBQ, Grill N Grate also has amazing Pecan Chicken with raspberry sauce, the best tenderloin sandwich, homemade soups and chili in the area, huge onion rings. The food is always good! A definite stop when in or around the Syracuse area. Don't forget to sample Chef Matt's homemade butter pecan ice cream!
