Nice quaint place to have lunch. They have lunch menu and the food is healthy and good.
Cafe Royal in New Castle, IN is a great, quaint coffee shop. I went in there expecting to find a "cafe" capable of serving hum drum drip brew, and perhaps a grilled cheese, but was surprised to find a fully functioning coffee house. Their espresso machine and manual grinders are high quality. Their syrups are thankfully not Torani or DaVinci... so, at least servable. It was surprisingly spacious and inviting. I'm a gourmet coffee shop manager from missouri, so it was refeshing to find another shop at least deserving of the title "groumet". Although, they did exceed my expectations, they did not offer any traditional drinks. When I ordered a Traditional Latte, the barista asked me what size I wanted. This told the whole story. The word "traditional" should tell them the size already, 10oz. A traditional cappuccino would be 6oz, etc. So, obviously lacking in the "upper-crust" of gourmet. Other than that, the shop was very well put together- even had a drive through. I'd recommend it, especially beacuse it seems to be your only choice in New Castle!

Stopped by between high school basketball games, what a great place to relax, read, play a board game, and have a sandwich. The grilled panninni and soup were excellent. Fun place with great atmosphere and service. Highly recommended.
The food is always fresh and made right when you order it. The coffee is excellent there are so few places that prepare espresso by hand anymore it's nice to see it done here.
