Good food and good service. For a small town they do it right. Do recommend
Sadly our little areas could use a wonderful little restaurant like Glory Days, but after 3 attempts at getting good service at this restaurant I can not recommend it. The food is good, but not worth the usual hour wait to receive it from time of ordering. The waitresses have not been taught about checking drinks, bringing appetizers out before other courses, or that salads should be brought out prior to dinner (with time to consume them). My husband waited once for the waitress to return to simply ask for ketchup, by the time she checked on us his food was cold, and the rest of us had completed our meals (waitress dropped the food & never asked if we needed anything!). Sadly we are not the only people to feel this way, we have talked to others in our community that received similar service ... it is not the food but the service that is the problem here, if they corrected their service then the place might make a long haul.
I went to Glory Days a few weeks ago and was taken by its 50s decor. I think the place hasn't changed in 50-60 years. You can still get a real bottled coca cola there. It was the favorite place of the doctor's office that I visited, and they asked for lunch to be ordered from this restaurant. The office staff frequented the place often and knew they were getting their favorites when I delivered the food with a fellow employee who was visiting their office. Highly recommended. If nothing else, sit in the restaurant to hyperspace back to the 50's!
