6 Autumns Food & Spirits
Reviews

I have had lunch there twice now and the food was fantastic and quick, my server was great! If you are in the Angola or Fremont area I highly recommend them!!

We ate here on Saturday, Oct 4th, 2014, on our way home from Pokagon. While we were still finishing our dinner the conversation wasn't about the next time we would visit Pokagon, but how soon would we be able to get back up here to visit this restaurant. I see the reviews about the great bourbon and beer selection, but I want to tell those who don't drink (like us) that this place is worth visiting just for the food, service, view and price. The entree's came with a salad and 2 sides, so it was a good amount of food, perfectly portioned. The salad was brought out immediately, but the hot food wasn't brought out before we were done with the salads. I like when the service is well timed, and our server Jessica's timing was perfect. Friendly (said yes to every request we had), checked in at the right times, but not so much that she interrupted our meal or conversation. I couldn't believe the price for my meal was only $13. That was some fancy chicken. And this is one of the big tests ... when you can say the vegetables were at least as good as the main course, that says something to me. The grilled green beans had a nice fresh crunch yet were dripping with flavor. I actually finished them before I even started anything else. The salad and red & gold mashed potatoes were good too. To top it all off, we had a table with a water view and hilly background of trees just beginning to change to fall colors. Beautiful. I told my wife I was putting this on the list with Cork & Clever and the Phoenix as my favorite restaurants. We will be making the hour drive to go here again!

We stopped here during a cross-country move just an hour before closing time, and everyone was so so so friendly, helpful, and happy to have us. They've got a great selection of beers and spirits, and all the food is delicious and made from scratch. No one rushed us out and even offered another round of drinks after they were supposed to be closing at 10pm. All around great place!!

I got stuck at this Ramada during the 2014 "Snow Vortex". Turns out to have been a very fortuitous event for me. This restaurant is really good. All of the food is organic, the bourbon and beer selection is world class. The owners are wonderful people who really know and care about what they do. Now, on the particular night I was there, they got slammed after the state declared a state of emergency. This was just after they let the balance of their staff go. It was just two of them and they worked their butts off trying to get people's orders in and delivered to them. Did they get behind? Yeah. But you couldn't blame them. No one expected that kind of a crowd. The sign from I-69 shows that there's a Ramada with an attached restaurant. It should be the other way around, this restaurant is that good. Reasonable, too.

Great food, good service, and the price is right
